50th Anniversary Celebration

Corn farmers are an independent group. But when it comes time to band together to address challenges, they are quick to join forces and make things happen.  For the past 50 years, NeCGA has been at the table during every discussion and debate on issues that impact Nebraska corn farmers and agriculture in general. In many instances, NeCGA has taken the lead on critical initiatives and provided boots-on-the-ground support and participation when called upon. During a significant milestone such as the half-century mark, it’s appropriate to pause and reflect on how NeCGA has been a difference-maker for Nebraska corn farmers.

The NeCGA has participated in many aspects of Nebraska agriculture including fostering Nebraska’s ethanol industry, advocacy and policy development, developing farmer-leaders, helping corn farmers improve themselves, creating the Nebraska Corn Checkoff, and participating in consumer education and outreach.

The Nebraska Corn Growers Association thanks the thousands of Nebraska corn farmers who have been and are members of NeCGA- as well as NeCGA’s many industry partners and supporters. The respect and solid reputation of NeCGA has been earned over the past half-century. As Nebraska corn farmers look to the future of their operations and their industry as a whole, they can be assured that NeCGA will continue to be there, advocating for Nebraska corn farmers where it matters.
