Hey everyone! My name is Wesley Wach and I am the new intern for the Nebraska Corn Growers Association. This fall, I will be a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where my major is Agricultural Economics. I grew up on a diversified farming operation near Hayes Center, Nebraska where I am the sixth generation. Throughout the years, my family has raised corn, soybeans, wheat, and cattle. Last year, we started High Ridge Beef. This business is the section of our operation that sells beef directly to consumers. Here in Lincoln, my main involvement has included the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council, The Salt Company, Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, and the Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program. Aside from this, I greatly enjoy skiing, hunting, watching sports, playing board games, and doing athletic activities with my friends.
Agriculture has been a prominent part of my life since birth. I am eager to experience the industry in new ways and meet new people at events throughout the next year. I have a lot to learn, but I am excited for the challenge!
